Val Barry trained in ceramics at the Sir John Cass School of Art, London from 1967-70. In 1970 she set up a studio at Crouch End, North London.  Since 1984 she has been working in bronze, under her married name Valerie Fox.   Her work was included in the exhibition 'Feeling Through Form: Eight Contemporary British Sculptors' at Blond Fine Art, London in 1986.  (Other artists represented included Elisabeth Frink, Peter Randall-Page and Keir Smith.)
