The commitments that support this theme are based around building strong relationships that support children’s learning and development. They include: respecting each other, parents as partners, supporting learning and key persons. We believe that in order for children to learn effectively they must feel respected and valued.

The relationship we have with the children’s parents is very important to us and we work very hard at developing a strong working relationship so that we can do our best for your child. One of the ways we do this is through our Key Person approach. Each child has a Key Person in the nursery that has special responsibilities for working with your child, in a small group of children. They give the child reassurance to feel safe and cared for and build special relationship with parents.
