The commitments that support this theme are based around children’s well-being; they include child development, inclusive practice, keeping safe and health and well being. It recognises that children from the earliest age are competent learners and they develop in individual ways. We believe that children and their families should be respected and valued for who they are; we welcome children from all around the world and celebrate the diversity this brings to the nursery – as well as the challenges.

The nursery provides good quality, nutritional, meals cooked by professional caterers and delivered to the nursery ready to eat. We encourage the children to play out of doors and to understand the importance of exercise and rest. We give the children clear and consistent boundaries and have reasonable expectations of their abilities.
