Embodying leadership with conduct and behaviour

Key information:

  • If you secure a place, you will receive an email confirmation. If places are oversubscribed, we will introduce a waiting list.
  • You must attend the full course (10 - 3pm including a one hour break in the middle).
  • You must be in, or about to start, a leadership position at the University (if you think you qualify, you can share why in the form below).
  • We will provide tea, coffee and some light refreshments before the course starts from 9.30 - 9.55am. This will also be a time for networking.
  • You must bring/organise your own lunch.
  • The course is on Saturday 18th January, 2025. Please ensure you can attend on a Saturday.
  • You will receive a certificate of completion and the course is CPD certified. This course is also eligible for 1 Core Skills Point for the Warwick Award.

The course will cover:

  • Communication: Including the challenges in expressing discomfort; using leadership to open communication and open cultures to allow participation.

  • Consent Culture- Deconstructing sexual violence and sexual harassment and emphasises the key role that student leaders can play in accelerating positive change.

  • Inclusion & Belonging- Explores the principles of allyship in leadership.

  • Supporting others- Covers help-seeking options; active listening skills; best practise dealing with disclosures; building trust; and, the role of leadership within these processes.

Topics will be delivered sensitively and support will be provided as needed.
