Looking to connect with colleagues across the University to broaden your network or exchange ideas? Coffee Roulette is an easy way to spark new conversations. If you are not part of the Digital Learning Community (DLC) yet, no problem! Sign up and we'll add you to our Teams channel, or join here.
How does it work?
Whether you're working at home or on campus, you can join in Coffee Roulette. Once you register, you'll be randomly matched with another member of the DLC, from across the University.
All you need to do is complete a form to register your interest, and we'll send you an email to confirm your match. Then it's up to you to arrange a meeting - either on Microsoft Teams or you can pick a location on Campus to meet face‑to‑face, at a time and date that's suitable for you both.
The last date to sign up for this round is Friday 24 April 2026.

With hybrid working, keeping up the levels of networking to pre-Covid times can be challenging. Coffee Roulette is a way to connect and collaborate with colleagues that you wouldn't normally work with in your role. It’s a great opportunity to:

FAQs
Once you have received confirmation of who you've been matched with, you can make arrangements to meet at a suitable time and place for you both. This could be virtually via Teams or at one of the many cafés around campus.
If you've arranged to meet face to face, you'll have to buy your own drink.
Yes! We have colleagues who work from campus, home, and other university locations across the UK. Both of you can choose how and when it's best to meet. Simply arrange a time, date, and location, whether virtual or in person, and send the invite to book the meeting.
You'll be entered into the Coffee Roulette matching system for meetings with different colleagues until you want to unsubscribe.
Coffee Roulette is the starting point for people to make connections across the University. We hope you had a nice chat with your colleague and may even opportunities for collaboration in the future if your role intersects!
We've scheduled Coffee Roulette to take place regularly, at least once a term, to enable you to meet different people.
You can leave and rejoin at any time by emailing us via DLCommunityandEvents@warwick.ac.uk
You may feel apprehensive about meeting the person you've been matched with but Coffee Roulette is a great way to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of a more formal, professional environment.

After your meeting, we'll send you an email to find out how it went. This is your opportunity to share what went well, any improvements we could make and if there were any no shows. If you don't turn up more than once, you'll be removed from the DLC Coffee Roulette list.
