Affordances
Almost unlimited and changing daily. However, in terms of teaching and learning, we suggest that the following examples, based on Assigning AI: Seven Approaches for Students, with PromptsLink opens in a new window by Mollick and Mollick (2023), have merit as an approach in designing teaching and learning to work with AI.
- AI-Student: Teaching as learning by posing questions and assessing answers.
- AI-Tutor: Summarise key information and provide explanations of concepts
- AI-Coach: Support reflection on student and staff experiences
- AI-Mentor: Feedback, support and error-checking for assignments
- AI-Teammate: Enhances team collaboration by balancing skills and providing insights
- AI-Tool: Enhance student and staff productivity and encourage innovative educational uses
- AI-Simulator: Practice skills through role-playing and feedback
