Padlet
A versatile platform for interactive and collaborative activities. It allows students to post comments, questions, and resources on a shared digital wall, facilitating real-time and asynchronous engagement. Padlet can be used for gathering feedback, checking understanding, supporting group work, and creating social spaces for students to connect. Moodle can connect to Padlet via an LTI / external tool link. Padlets can also be embedded in Moodle directly using an iframe.
Miro
A collaborative digital whiteboard where students and teachers can interact in real-time or asynchronously. It supports activities like brainstorming, mind mapping, and project planning, making it ideal for group work and interactive lessons. Miro’s multimedia capabilities allow for the integration of various resources, such as videos, images, and documents, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Moodle Forum
A space for asynchronous discussions where students can post and reply to messages on specific topics. It supports group discussions, Q&A formats, and debate forums, allowing students to share ideas and collaborate over time.
Moodle Wiki
A shared document or set of documents that students can collaboratively edit. It allows groups to create a knowledge base, build a project, or write collaboratively. Each change is tracked, so instructors can monitor individual contributions.
Moodle Glossary
An activity where students collectively build a list of key terms or definitions. It’s a collaborative tool for building a course-specific resource that all students can contribute to and learn from.
Moodle Database
A customizable tool where students can collaboratively add and organize entries (such as images, text, files, links) on specific topics. It's useful for group projects, resource sharing, and collaborative research.
Moodle Workshop
A peer assessment activity where students submit their work and provide feedback on each other’s submissions. It includes a structured workflow for submission, peer review, and assessment, allowing students to learn from one another’s work.
Moodle Group Choice
Allows students to collaborate based on shared interests, preferences, or availability, often increasing their investment in group work. It also simplifies the grouping process, as students take an active role in forming teams.
Moodle Assignments (Group)
Allows students to work together on an assignment as a group, with one submission representing the group’s work. It’s designed for collaborative projects where all members contribute to a shared outcome.
