Echo 360 Ideation Workshop – Event Highlights & Reflection

Following our successful Echo 360 Ideation Workshop, we’re delighted to share a recap of the day and highlight the creativity, collaboration, and forward‑thinking ideas generated by colleagues from across the University.

About the Event

Building on the momentum of our recent student‑focused session, Echo360 invited staff to take part in a hands‑on creative problem‑solving workshop—bringing together a wide range of perspectives and experiences of using EchoVideo in teaching and learning.

EchoVideo serves as the University’s core video management platform, supporting the capture, editing, and sharing of video content. Installed in more than 230 rooms across campus, the system provides automated recording and seamless distribution via Moodle.

The workshop welcomed both academic staff and professional services colleagues who support teaching. Whether participants had used Echo a little or extensively, all contributions were invaluable in shaping discussions and solutions.

What We Did

Thank you to everyone who engaged so enthusiastically throughout the workshop. Your insights and ideas are essential to shaping how video technologies evolve to best support teaching and learning at Warwick. Working in small interdisciplinary groups, participants:

  • Reflected on what currently works well
  • Identified pain points and challenges in the video capture workflow
  • Ideated possible solutions, both practical and creative
  • Shared visions for how Echo360 could evolve to better support staff and students

All ideas captured during the workshop have been collated, and you can now view the outputs and add further ideas directly on our Padlet board. You can also access our case study and feedback of the Staff Workshop as well as the Student Ideathon feedback

Your contributions will continue to inform Echo360’s product development roadmap.

What Participants Gained

The session provided colleagues with the opportunity to:

  • Discover new and existing EchoVideo features that enhance teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with peers from across disciplines and roles
  • Influence tools that have real potential to improve teaching workflows and student experience
  • Reflect on how video technologies can support efficiency, creativity, and engagement
  • Network over refreshments in a relaxed, discussion‑driven environment

To support exploration, we also shared a webpage containing a curated set of short videos introducing key Echo features. You can access it here: Echo 'Did You Know?' Feature Highlights

If you know colleagues who may be interested in contributing to future Echo‑related activities, please feel free to encourage them to share their input.

We look forward to continuing the conversation, and to building on the great thinking shared during this event.
