Disability Taskforce (formerly Disability Interest Group)
Following the recent changes to Governance, the Disability Interest Group will reform as the Disability Taskforce reporting to the Social Inclusion Committee.

Gender Task Force (GTF)
The Gender Task Force was set up to address issues impacting on gender imbalance at the University, to make sure that we can make best use of all the talent available, and that individuals and the University feel the benefit of this.

This Taskforce is an advisory body which makes recommendations to the SIC on LGBTUA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Undefined, Asexual and other related identities) matters.

Race Equality Taskforce (RET)
The RET will consult and work with all business areas across the institution with the aim to address issues around racial inequality.

Social Inclusion Committee
The Social Inclusion Committee (SIC) is chaired by the Provost, Chris Ennew, with the Director of Social Inclusion, Kulbir Shergill, as Deputy Chair. The SIC meet 3 times per year. Membership of SIC includes Chairs of Taskforces, academic representatives from all three faculties, and representatives from Professional Services staff and the student body.

All staff are welcome to attend the ED&I Network where they can receive updates on forthcoming events, new/existing resources that are available, what ED&I projects are being undertaken, and any other relevant topics.

Athena SWAN Network
Staff from across all departments meet regularly and up-date on current initiatives, report progress on Athena SWAN, scrutinise other departments’ submissions, and encourage and support departments with their gender equality work. Departmental Athena SWAN Representatives act as a communication channel between departments and the group.

Chaplaincy Reference Group
The Chaplaincy Reference Group (CRG) provides a space for debate, reflection and accountability for the University's Chaplaincy. Its advice is taken seriously, with its recommendations clearly and carefully considered by the Chaplaincy Team and Director of People Group.
