Salary Costs August 2010

The following figures assume that the employee is in a pension scheme (USS for scales 5 and above, UPS for scales 1-4) and is also in PensionPlus.

Employer pension contributions are 19.85% for UPS Defined Benefits Scheme and 16% for USS (with effect from 1st October 2009).

Employer NI contributions are from April 2010.
