Add a researcher profile feed

Important: The option to add a Researcher profile feed has been removed from SiteBuilder due to an upcoming change of the University's solution for researcher profile data; the new service does not provide API access that would allow external applications like SiteBuilder to display information.

Existing profile pages and feeds will continue to work for the time being, but in future, profiles will need to be linked to instead of displayed on the page.

For more information, see the Research Administration Solutions Project.

Use a researcher profile feed to display a researcher's publications, research projects, or their full profile from Ideate.

  1. Browse to the page where you want to add a researcher profile.

  2. Go to Edit > Edit centre content:

The SiteBuilder 'Edit' menu, with the 'Edit centre content' option highlighted

  3. Place your cursor where you want to add the profile.

  4. In the left-hand menu, select Feeds > Researcher profile:

The 'Add content feeds' menu, with the 'Researcher profile' option highlighted

Alternatively, to edit an existing feed, select it in the editor then select Settings in the component toolbar:

The component toolbar for a data entry feed, with the 'Settings' option highlighted

  5. The Researcher profile pop-up appears:

    The 'Researcher profile' feed options

  6. Enter a researcher's name in the Researchers box. As you type, SiteBuilder suggests results; select one to add it to the list.

Note: You can enter multiple researchers to display profile data for, but if you choose more than one person, their profiles will be combined into one view. To display multiple profiles separately, use an individual feed for each researcher.

  7. Select What to display from the selected researcher profile(s) using the drop-down list:

    • Full profile

    • Publications only

    • Research only

  8. Select Add profile (or Update profile if you're editing an existing feed component).
