How do I apply?
Fill in the online application form here. We strongly encourage you to talk through your idea prior to your application with a member of the Warwick Ventures team – please contact either Charmaine Mulligan or Isla Millar.

Who is eligible to apply?
Academics, staff and post-doctoral researchers are welcome to apply - the idea must include at least one team member from the Arts or Social Sciences faculties here at Warwick. Multi-disciplinary teams and teams that include collaborators external to Warwick are also eligible.

What criteria should the project meet?
We are interested in projects that will translate ideas and research for application in wider society. Ideas could include ways to expand the audiences for the research; novel ways to engage the public in your work, influencing policy makers and campaigners or collaborating with external partners. Additionally, it could also include projects to enable your research to be applied more widely, creating a training package, expanding an existing programme of work, setting up a social enterprise, or developing a digital toolkit.

Even if your idea is at an early stage, you can come and discuss your concept with Warwick Ventures and maybe we can help you think through how to move it forward.

When do I need to apply?
The next panel meeting is w/c 26th November 2018, and all applications received before 16th November 2018 will be considered in the next panel meeting.

How much funding can I apply for?
Awards up to a maximum of £7,000 per project can applied for.

How will successful projects be decided?
The proposals will be shortlisted by the Warwick Ventures team, and then reviewed by a panel representing Research and Impact Services and academic staff from Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Awardees from the next panel review will be notified of the outcome of their application in early December.

Do I need a statement of support from my Head of Department?
You don't need a statement from your Head of Department in order to submit an application. If your application is successful, as part of the process to transfer the award your Head of Department will be asked for a statement of support.

What can successful applicants expect from their award?
In addition to funding, a member of the Warwick Ventures team will work with each project to help deliver your idea. Successful projects will become case studies to demonstrate Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences-led innovation.
