Innovation @ The Junction Seminar Series
Innovation @ The Junction
A seminar series focused on the what, why & how to deliver impact through commercialisation
This is a new series of lunch-time seminars focused on the practicalities of how to commercialise research. These seminars are aimed at the Warwick PI and Postdoc community to offer guidance on best practice for key aspects of the commercialisation journey including: types of IPR & how not to disclose; the licensing and spin-out process; and how to communicate ideas to commercialisation stakeholders.
With increasing demands on academic’s time, it can be hard to prioritise impact and commercialisation activities. What is the value for researchers to engage in innovation work? What are the motivations and incentives at Warwick to do so, and does this detract from or enhance research productivity?
Dr Tim Hart, Director of Warwick Innovations will explore the ‘why’ of commercialisation at a researcher and institutional level, what to expect from the process and the support available from Warwick Innovations.
