SiteBuilder release notes
SiteBuilder 2.597 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.597 on Thursday 14th November 2024. Changes in this update include:
- The space between links in footers is now compliant with current accessibility standards.
- It's now possible to add multiple Module details components to the same page. Note that each component must refer to either a different module, or a different year of the same module.
SiteBuilder 2.596 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.596 on Monday 28th October 2024. Changes in this update include:
- A new Module details component. This functions like the Module page template, but enables you to embed information from the module catalogue alongside other content within a Components Editor page.
- When copying pages, SiteBuilder will now copy all pages and files, even if some are currently locked for editing.
SiteBuilder 2.595 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.595 on Tuesday 22nd October 2024. Changes in this update include:
- Researcher profile components placed inside a tabs/accordion component will now display text in the correct colours.
- We've updated the masthead and footer in the University's common website template in response to Warwick's latest brand guidelines:
- The masthead now uses a standard version of the Warwick logo, and the utility menu background is solid white.
- The "W" window device from the footer is now gone from sites using the solid footer style. A future change will address sites using the line footer style.
- The primary colour for a site can now be set to any of the new brand colours. Previously, some of these colours did not provide sufficient colour contrast to comply with accessibility legislation. Where necessary, heading and link text is darkened and the background colour of the secondary navigation lightened to ensure contrast. This change also applies where any primary site colour would not provide sufficient contrast.
- A small number of staff members within Marketing, Communications, Insight & Student Recruitment (MCISR) now have global admin permissions on all sites within SiteBuilder. This feature will be used by the Web and Digital Marketing Team for their work with departments and page owners, and will avoid problems caused by missing permissions on pages or files within a site. Our pending site owner functionality will ultimately serve a similar purpose for users with responsibility for a specific site.
SiteBuilder 2.594 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.594 on Tuesday 15th October 2024. This update includes no user-facing changes, but makes improvements to SiteBuilder performance.
SiteBuilder 2.593 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.593 on Wednesday 25th September 2024. Changes in this version include:
- All notification emails from SiteBuilder should now be sent in HTML format.
- SiteBuilder Forms: Notification emails for Forms submissions once again use the question's Field name, rather than the Label.
- Note: We advise against including form submission data in emails. While some users may find it convenient, email is not a secure medium to transfer data, and you should never use emails to send personal or sensitive information. We always recommend viewing and filtering submissions within SiteBuilder, where you can also download data in CSV, XML or PDF format.
