Career Development: Preparing CV's for non-research/ non-academic jobs

This workshop will help you prepare for the job application process more effectively by fine tuning your CV and cover letter. It will include a discussion on transferring skills to non-academic application, and could include talks from speakers who have made such a move. We will also look at examples of CV's e.g: admin, project management and industry.

It will cover the following:

  • Non-Academic CVs/cover letters - structure, style and content
  • Opportunity to share & peer review your own documents

  • Gained a better understanding of the tools and techniques required to perfect your CV & cover letter

Please bring with you your CV/ cover letters and any applications form you have.
