Employees normally progress by one spinal point each year until they reach the highest point in the grade.
The University is not using Points:
1 to 8, 28, 30, 32 or 48.
Grade 9 Pay Spine

Spinal points at grade 9 start at 100 and continue beyond spinal point 140 in £1,332 increments.
At Grade 9, staff will not receive automatic increments. Progression on the Grade 9 pay spine will consider performance/contribution as part of the SLRS outcomes.
