- APCL
Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning
A University policy that allows recognition of previous education and/or qualifications in the pursuit of another qualification.
- APSG
Administrative and Professional Services Group
A grouping of all the administration and professional services departments within the University and the associated Committee considering relevant business.

Academic Quality & Standards Committee
Specialist Senate Committee - forms part of the major decision making structure of the University.

Academic Resourcing Committee
Committee that oversees the University's non-devolved academic departments.

Additional Student Number
Category of students, used in HEFCE recurrent grant calculations.
