The role of the Registrar
The Registrar, provides strategic leadership and management across the University's Professional Services and is responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the University alongside other members of the Executive Board (Group Finance Director, Chief Information and Digital Officer, Chief Communications Officer and Secretary to Council).
The Registrar leads on the University strategy and our ambitions and commitment set out in our 2030 Strategy, Excellence with Purpose.
The Registrar also has specific responsibility for academic and student services, development and alumni, equality, diversity and social inclusion, discipline and resolution, human resources, innovation, international strategy and relations, legal and compliance (including Data Protection), regional engagement, research and impact, student recruitment, strategic reform and change programmes, wellbeing and safeguarding.
