How to pan-fry chicken

This is a basic skill to learn, and once your chicken is done, you can either store it for the week or use it for another recipe. Batch cooking chicken breast is a great way to have an easy filling for sandwiches or salads!

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast
  • Vegetable/olive oil or spray oil
  • Seasonings of your choice

Method

  1. Slice the chicken breasts on a clean chopping board or use kitchen scissors.

  2. Turn on the hob and add cooking oil to the pan
  3. Place the chicken into the pan once the oil is heated, but be careful of splattering from the oil.
  4. Add any seasonings to the chicken.
  5. Stir the chicken regularly. Cut into the largest piece of chicken; if the chicken is cooked, the flesh will be fully white.
  6. Add your chicken to your favourite dish or keep in the fridge for later.
