Cooking Basics - Seasoned Potatoes
Cooking Basics - Seasoned Potatoes
This is a great alternative to oven chips and is much cheaper. You can alter the seasonings to suit your taste and the type of cuisine you're cooking.

      Ingredients
- Potatoes of your choice (Maris Piper or Red Skin potatoes are recommended)
 - Olive Oil
 - Seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper

Method
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
 - Start by selecting your desired amount of potatoes, or even use more if you want to meal prep!
 - Peel your potatoes using a peeler (this is safer and easier than using a knife!)
 - Chop your potatoes into small pieces. You can do whatever shapes you like, cubes, wedges or even chips! Just make sure your pieces are not too big so they cook through evenly.
 - Add your chopped potatoes into a bowl and get your seasonings and oil ready. I recommend olive oil and for seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic granules and paprika, but you can choose whatever you like best.
 - Pour around one tablespoon of oil onto your potatoes and use a teaspoon of each seasoning. Use your hands to massage the seasonings evenly across all your potatoes.
 - Put your potatoes onto a baking tray and spread them out evenly so they don't overlap.
 - Put your potatoes in the oven to cook for 20-25 minutes and shake them midway through to ensure all sides of the potatoes are cooked evenly.
 - Once your potatoes are cooked, serve them alongside your meal and enjoy!
