Creative Corner

... Creativity that’s easy to join and hard to get wrong.

About the Programme

Creative Corner invites students to unwind through accessible, low-pressure creative activities. With a new theme each term — like “Belonging” or “Dream Spaces” — the space features everything from zine-making and collage to identity badges, postcards, mindful doodling, and banner-making.

Kick off the term with a visiting artist who brings a fresh perspective and collaborative spirit, then keep coming back each month to create, reflect, and connect. Whether you're crafting a vision board, colouring to destress, or sharing stories through handmade zines, there’s always a place for you — and your creativity — at Creative Corner.

No booking, no experience required, and everything you need is provided.

Community-Building Project with artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood

Sarah Taylor Silverwood

This community-building project, led by Sarah Taylor Silverwood, celebrates and reflects the student journey of arriving, settling in, and making campus feel like home.

Through creative workshops, interactive activities, and collaborative design, students will help shape resources and artworks that capture their shared experiences and favourite places at the University.

The project started with a workshop during Arrivals to welcome new students to capture early impressions of university life.

In up-coming workshops, the artist will create resources for the Christmas holidays—such as colouring packs, puzzles, and a digital scavenger hunt—designed to keep students connected and engaged during quieter periods on campus.

Resources Bank

Looking to stay inspired over the break? Our project team will be uploading a range of arts and crafts resources for you to explore during the vacation.

Check back here regularly to access materials designed to spark your creativity and keep you engaged while you're away from campus.

The Journey so far...
Wallpaper Making

During Welcome, hosted within our very own Together at Warwick tent, students had great fun creating their own designs which will form the creation of a bespoke wallpaper.

Wallpaper Prints in the Together at Warwick Tent during arrivals, 2025

Inspired by the journeys of our first year students to campus combined with the imagery of campus’ most loved spaces by everyone, this wallpaper will be installed on room dividers in the new community space, The Nook.

The photos don't do justice to the beauty of these pieces, each one capturing the emotional journey of their creator to express who they are and where they've come from.

There is a wide variety of content, some very funny and hint at their feelings with humour. Others are self portraits, or symbols representing their physical and emotional presence.

Stay tuned to find out when it's installed and pop down to take a look.
