In collaboration with Warwick Hindu Soc

Holi is one of the most celebrated festivals in Hinduism, marking the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. The festival originates from ancient Hindu traditions, including the story of Prahlad and Holika, and is a time for renewal, unity, and the joy of community.
Beyond the vibrant colours seen in films and social media, Holi carries deep spiritual and cultural significance, celebrating faith, resilience, and the joy of togetherness. Together with Warwick Hindu Society, we are proud to bring this celebration to campus. Join us for an afternoon of music, 350kg of colour powders, and free snacks.
To learn more about the spiritual and cultural significance of Holi, join Hindu Soc for a special session on Monday 2nd March, 4:30-5:30pm in the Chaplaincy, following Aarti.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate with us.

I haven't booked a ticket, can I still come along?

Holi 2026 is currently fully booked, although you can join the waiting list and will receive an email if places become available. If you weren't able to secure your ticket and still want to join us, please keep an eye on our @WarwickTogether Instagram on the day. We'll post a story by 2pm to confirm whether we're allowing people in without booking a place, please do not arrive at 12:30pm if you have not booked.

I've booked a ticket, am I guaranteed entry?

Due to high demand for this event, booking does not guarantee entry and we recommend arriving in good time to avoid disappointment. Please bring your booking confirmation with you on the day, you'll need to show this on your phone to receive your wristband which you'll need to collect colour powder. If you are no longer able to attend, please do cancel your place as we have many students on the waiting list.

Please note that snacks will be on a first come, first served basis.

What should I wear, do I need to bring anything?

The colour powder we use is safe and non-toxic as it's made of corn starch and natural dyes, but there is a possibility it can stain, so don't wear your best clothes. We recommend wearing a white t-shirt to showcase the colour, but please note in addition to the colour powder there will also be a lot of mud, so sensible shoes which you don't mind getting dirty are a must.

Please bring your own water bottle with you, as we will only have a very limited supply at the event. Water bottles can be refilled at the Sports & Wellness Hub or at the Cryfield Pavilion.

Where can I keep my valuables?

Unfortunately Together at Warwick cannot take responsibility for valuables, the closest lockers to the playing area are located at the Sports and Wellness Hub. Please note to use the lockers at the Sports Hub, you will either need a £1 coin, or a locker token. If you do not have a token, these can be purchased from the Sports Hub Reception for a small fee, and you'll get to keep it to use in the future.

What if I get powder in my eyes?

We have booked an external first aid provider to keep everybody safe, but this can happen. If you're worried, we'll have a limited number of sunglasses you can use, or feel free to bring your own.
