2011 – 2013 IT905 Emigrants, Migrants, Immigrants (University of Warwick, course convenor)

This masterʼs course aims to familiarize students with narratives in Italian associated with the experience of migration and cultural displacement, from the unification of Italy to the present.

2011 – 2014 Immigrazione, genere, modelli familiari e strategie di integrazione (Università
di Pavia, guest lecturer)

This three-hour seminar presented some major issues of post-colonial theory and engaged with a reflection upon the cultural and literary legacy of Italian colonialism and migrations to/from Italy.

2013 ITAL 225 Italy at War: 20th Century Italian Literature and Cinema (Bryn Mawr College, visiting lecturer - shortlisted for the position of Associate Professor)

I was invited to deliver a one hour lesson on the movie Concorrenza Sleale by Ettore Scola.

2012 – 2013 IT113 Forms and Fashions in Italian Intellectual Culture (University of
Warwick, reading group tutor on Calvino, Leopardi, and Machiavelli)

This module introduces first-year students to major forms, genres, stylistic questions and movements in Italian literary and cultural history.

2011 – 2013 Letterature europee e letteratura mondiale (Università di Roma, La Sapienza,
  guest lecturer)

I have delivered for three academic years this two-hour seminar, which presented some major issues of post-colonial theory and engaged reflection upon the cultural and literary legacy of Italian colonialism.

2010 – 2012 IT211 Italian Language and Institutions (University of Warwick, tutor)

This is an intermediate course in Italian language and contemporary culture.

2009 – 2011 IT411 L'Italia nel '900 (University of Warwick, course convenor)

This course for final-year students focuses on a number of crucial issues relating to contemporary Italian society and culture, such as migration, minoritiesʼ rights, urbanisation, and colonialism.

Guest Lecturer

I have been invited to deliver lessons structured around the presentation of the documentaries and relevant themes including migration to Italy, Italian colonialism, racism, and the creation of the national identity.
