Library of Things

We’re excited to launch a trial Library of Things for exchange students and visiting scholars. Borrow essential items instead of purchasing things you’ll only need for a few months!

This project is a collaboration between the Energy & Sustainability Team and Warwick’s Short Term Mobility team.

What’s available

• Kitchenware: pots, pans, plates, mugs, cutlery, and more

• Homeware essentials: basic bedding items, hangers, small household tools

How it works

1. Borrow for free – Pick up the items you need for the duration of your stay.

2. Use and enjoy – Make yourself at home without spending extra money or creating unnecessary waste.

3. Return or donate – Before you leave, simply:

   • Return items directly to the Short Term Mobility team, or

   • Drop them off in the yellow donation bunkers around campus.

Why borrow instead of buy?

• Save money – No need to purchase items you can’t take back home.

• Reduce waste – Help us create a more sustainable campus by keeping useful items in circulation.

• Support community sharing – Your return or donation ensures the next group of exchange students benefits too.

This is a trial project, so your participation and feedback will help shape the future of the Library of Things at Warwick. Together, we can make short-term stays easier, cheaper, and greener!
