Following the launch of the feedback process this summer, one key area that was highlighted is the quality of the coffee being provided. In response, we took the opportunity to explore better alternatives for everyone.

We held an independent taste-testing session with four different blends, and we're excited to share that the new addition was the clear winner. The coffee we’ve been offering came in second place, so it’s great to know we weren’t far off.

As such, we are pleased to announce that from Monday 23 September, we will be introducing the new, higher-quality coffee blend. This upgraded option is designed to enhance your coffee experience. Just think sweet, smoky treacle that blooms when paired with milk. The lengthy aftertaste will be etched on your mind.

We recently conducted a benchmarking exercise to evaluate and compare Warwick Food and Drink against local competitors. Three local suppliers were asked to provide quotes for a standard order.

The findings are as follows:

• Warwick Food and Drink is the most cost-effective option compared to the three local suppliers.

• Tea or coffee from other suppliers costs between 20% and 137% more per serving.

• Sandwiches from Warwick Food and Drink are between 37% and 76% cheaper.

• Competitors charge 33% to 54% more for an order serving five people.

• Warwick Food and Drink is the only provider that includes glasses, mugs, plates, and cutlery with orders.

• University of Warwick customers enjoy savings with VAT exemption when ordering from Warwick Food and Drink.
