A successful City Nature Challenge

Thank you to everyone who took part in the City Nature Challenge over the May Bank Holiday weekend. It was the first time Coventry and the University took part so we were very pleased to have twenty people get involved. They made 307 observations and identified 160 species, with the most observed being Garlic Mustard. The data will add to our knowledge of species present on campus. If you would like to support us in measuring and monitoring wildlife on campus, please contact sustainability@warwick.ac.uk for more information.

Worldwide, 419 cities took part in 44 different countries. Over 45,000 species were recorded including more than 2,000 rare, endangered or threatened species.
