‘One World Warwick’ with events from 11th-17th November will include light processions, musical performances, and Langar community kitchen, all to showcase Warwick’s rich international community and its impact on the world.

The University of Warwick has announced a series of exciting events throughout 2025 as it prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Academics from The University of Warwick are at the forefront of new discussions exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in everyday settings to benefit local communities. The project’s Warwick-led public engagement activities in Coventry and beyond are now informing ongoing conversations about the role of AI in local policy development.

The University of Warwick has unveiled a £700m investment in its West Midlands campus as part of its ambitious Connect Programme. This is the largest single investment in campus facilities across its entire 60-year history. 

A hydrogen-powered car fuelled by sewage is attempting to break a land speed record, driving sustainability in racing. The hydrogen the car will run off is a by product of Wastewater Fuels treatment technology being trialled at Severn Trent.

The Namibian lawyer, diplomat and social justice advocate, Adv. Bience Gawanas has been appointed as the new Chancellor of The University of Warwick. Bience Gawanas, a former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, will start her new role from January 2025.

Vice-Chancellor Stuart Croft, will chair a new expert advisory panel formed by the Russell Group. The panel will develop strategies to boost the impact of UK universities in supporting the government’s Industrial Strategy.

Students at The University of Warwick have raised over £5000 for local charities supporting refugees and asylum seekers.
