Now training its third cohort of SME leaders, the Clean Transport Accelerator has created 47 local jobs, increased monthly turnover of the SME’s taking part by 28% and increased their average monthly profits by 400%. Deadline to apply is 16 February.

The University of Warwick awards an Honorary Doctorate to comedian, Alex Horne, for School Tasking project
On graduation day (Monday 15th Jan) Alex spent the morning running a session with 30 children from a local Coventry school. To kick things off, the children took part in a treasure hunt, and after following the clues around the University’s award-winning FAB building, they discovered the comedian hidden away in a top-floor room.
Warwick Ancient Drama Festival Returns with Aeschylus’ The Persians
The University of Warwick’s Ancient Drama Festival is set to return for its tenth year, featuring Aeschylus' The Persians. Funded by the British Academy, the festival will take place on the 25th and 26th January 2024 at the Warwick Arts Centre. A free to attend, matinee performance has also been organised for local school children.

The University of Warwick opens its science labs to support students from Aylesford School, Warwick
Following the discovery of problems related to the construction of their main buildings many students at Aylesford School in Warwick have spent time being taught remotely rather than on-site during the Autumn. In particular, the closure of two thirds of their classrooms has led to some subjects losing access to the specialist teaching resources that are essential to the delivery of their curriculum.
