An engineering research team at WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) at the University of Warwick have vividly brought to life one of Coventry’s medieval buildings using 3-D virtual reality technology in a new City of Culture exhibition. Find out more and how to attend the exhibition.

Margot James, Executive Chair and Dave Greenwood, Professor of Advanced Propulsion Systems from WMG, at the University of Warwick, were delighted tto be invited to the official opening of the UK Battery industrialisation Centre by The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, Prime Minister - bringing to reality a vision first set out by WMG in 2016.

The University has been delighted to be asked to assist with this national initiative to help combat the pandemic and to be involved with the opening of the UK's first megalab (now named the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory in Royal Leamington Spa).

The University of Warwick’s free Creative Futures Incubator based in Leamington Spa’s co-working space 1 Mill Street is already powering up new local businesses, but now is also powering pedestrians up the Parade in Leamington, with 2 e-trikes. These innovative pedicabs provide a creative, environmentally friendly way for residents to get around the town centre and access the shops.

The programme returned for its seventh series, filmed at UHCW NHS Trust, following the everyday, personal experiences of workers and patients alike, the new series of Hospital tells the story of the NHS in unprecedented times. It also features the research of our own Professor Siobhan Quenby of Warwick Medical School profiles her leading research into miscarriage.

Twenty Secondary Art and Design Trainees who have worked in local schools across the region are showcasing their work with pupils. Plus see some examples of the artwork created in an online exhibition.
