WMG Skills Centre launched to bridge the technical skills gap
With increased pressure on businesses to be flexible, resilient, increase efficiency and to meet sustainability goals there is an unprecedented need for new skills in the workforce. WMG has launched the Skills Centre, offering an ever changing and growing range of courses to meet current and future industry and business needs. The Centre is launching with seven new courses in innovative technologies ranging from energy systems, intelligent vehicles, digital and manufacturing.

The Midlands has one of the lowest levels of productivity in the UK, leading to a potential loss of up to £20 billion to the region each year, a new report shows.
New projects to help collaborate with local community funded by Warwick Institute of Engagement
The first stage of the Warwick Institute of Engagement’s (WIE) collaboration and co-production fund has been completed. Warwick Medical School student photography now on show at George Eliot Hospital
Matthew Thompson, a Warwick Medical School student who volunteered at Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital, used specialist equipment to take photographs of staff in their working environment in the summer of 2020. He did this to illustrate the range of people involved in the care of patients during the pandemic, and has now had the portraits put on display as a photography exhibition at the hospital.
The new Faculty of Arts mural – a labour of love and community inspiration
We caught up with Matt Raw, the artist commissioned to turn a huge section the outer wall by the main entrance of the brand-new Faculty of building into a beautiful mural. Matt’s ceramic artwork, which is now complete after three years, is called Faith in the Miraculous. It reflects everything we hope the new building will help bring to life – collaboration, creativity and innovation. Learn more.
