Education

The Social Sciences Connect Programme enables social scientists across the University of Warwick to deliver teaching that takes an in-depth look at society, asking thought-provoking questions of major social significance, finding solutions that are practical and create positive impact and transformative change, while focusing on student experience.
We believe that education should be distinctive, research-driven, and impactful. That’s why we’re forging new opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration in teaching and learning, while also strengthening connections between teaching and research.
Through our Social Sciences Connect Programme, we are developing a suite of sector-leading courses, bringing disciplines together to address complex global and societal issues. We are fostering interdisciplinary expertise across departments to expand our undergraduate offerings. Additionally, we are introducing a range of postgraduate programmes that draw on both synergies with research, and shared intellectual interests in areas such as Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, and Social Data Science. Our teaching and learning experiences will be at the leading edge of access, employability, and internationalisation. This will include practitioner participation, with access to professional experience and international opportunities.
By blending Warwick’s entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to social justice, we are providing student experiences that are inclusive, innovative, and sustainable. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the most pressing local, regional, national, and global challenges of our time.
