Evaluation and implementation in practice

Introduction

Clinical trials and health economics play critical roles in the development, evaluation, and adoption of new health interventions, including new health technologies. They ensure that new treatments, devices, and interventions are not only effective and safe but also cost-effective and accessible to the broader population. Health innovation implementation also requires considerable stakeholder engagement and an understanding of system and service integration.

Our work

At Warwick we have one of the largest clinical trials units in the UK and a sizeable multi-disciplinary health economics team, who work together on Health Technology Assessments. In addition, Warwick Screening undertakes evidence review for national and international policy-makers. Warwick Business School houses experts in healthcare organisation and leadership as well as the management of innovation processes, which are critical factors in innovation adoption.
