warwick's esports holiday activities and food program

This summer, we're part of Warwickshire HAF!

The HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) program features esports this year... but what does that mean? Here at the Warwick Esports Centre, freshly back from it's busy summer tour of the West Midlands, will be home to up to 24 young people at a time to play on our cutting-edge computers and learn more about Esports and the career opportunities in this growing digital market!

The first session of this programme is the 23rd August 2022 and sign-ups are now open for the program. Please fill in the the form below to reserve your place!

    Four enrichment sessions available between the 23rd and 26th August!

    • Full day (10am - 3pm) experiences where participants will see into the creative industries, be taught essential digital software, and develop their teamworking!
    • Organise and play in a tournament in your favourite game, learn how you can market events using online design tools, and experiment with new technology.
    • Access to permanent learning materials after the programme that can be used to educate students and parents on the opportunities in the creative and digital industries.

    Outline of a HAF program day:

     

      Time Activity  
      10:00 - 10:30 Arrival, registration, snacks and free-play  
      10:30 - 11:30 Introduction to esports, creative & digital industries, team and event organisation activity!  
      11:30 - 12:30 Structured team play (compete in the tournament that you organised!)  
      12:30 - 13:00 Lunch  
      13:00 - 13:30 Introduction to digital design using Canva and/or Pixlr  
      13:30 - 14:30 Supporting independent design time  
      14:30 - 15:00 Showcase your designs and/or free play before end of the day
