Esports centre signed the multi-year partnership with Chillblast
The University of Warwick has announced a multi-year partnership with gaming PC manufacturer Chillblast to support its esports centre. The deal will see Chillblast and the university work together on a number of esports activations and on-campus competitions. This includes a VALORANT tournament and other student-run events.
WARWICK WIN ESPORTS UNIVERSITY OF THE YEAR FIVE YEARS IN A ROW
The British University Esports Championship (BUEC) Spring season is over and with it, the 2022/2023 academic year! The games are finished and the points have been totted up. A record number of 111 universities entered the race to be crowned Esports University of the Year. The competition has been even closer than ever this year with second to fourth place being incredibly tight, however one university still reigns supreme amongst the pack. For the fifth year in a row, the University of Warwick is the Esports University of the Year for 2022/2023! The University of Warwick has finished with an impressive 3,433 points.
The University of Warwick goes for gold as the Best University for Gamers
On 17th April, the University of Warwick has been named the best university for gamers in the UK by Uswitch.
The Uswitch online gamingLink opens in a new window ranking is based on a number of factors, including the availability and quality of gaming facilities on campus, the range of gaming societies and events, and the overall student experience for gamers.
Warwick Esports programme nominated for two prestigious awards
Part of the University of Warwick’s Creative Futures initiative, the success of the esports programme is being recognised at the international Esports Awards. Warwick have received two nominations, one for Esports Collegiate Programme of the Year, the second for Esports Collegiate Ambassador of the Year.
The University of Warwick and University of Waterloo Announce Collaboration on Esports
With both organisation from across the Atlantic emerging as national leaders in esports, representatives from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom) and the University of Waterloo (Canada) are exploring ways in which each of their flourishing esports activities can be enriched by trans-Atlantic international collaboration.
