Subject: English PG Research meeting

Dear all,

I hope everyone's well. I'm writing to invite all PGRs, and any interested PGTs, to a Research meeting on 9 March, 18.00-19.00 in the Student Hub (which is the room to the right just before you get to the professional services offices next to the quiet study spaces).

We understand that some of you feel disconnected from the department's research culture, and we're really keen to address this and make sure we find a way to ensure our research community is inclusive and representative.

The discussion will be led by myself as Head, Professor Dan Katz as Director of Research, Dr Ross Forman as Director of Graduate Studies, and Dr Stacey McDowell as our Research Seminar convenor.

We'll bring some wine and crisps for the discussion, and you're welcome to spend some time after the event in the Hub chatting and finishing up the wine!

The purpose of the meeting is to share with you some plans we have to rethink our research groupings in the department and involve you directly in them. We'd like your feedback on this before we confirm these plans.

Hope to see as many of you as can make it.

Best wishes,

Emma
