THE FORM IS NOW CLOSED.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please read through.
The Welcome Week Social for English and Comparative Literary Studies at Warwick is open to incoming first-year students who will be studying Q300 English, QW34 English and Theatre, and VQ32 English and History, as well as any Visiting Students, 2021-22. It will involve meeting peers, academic staff, and admin staff from the department for some subject-related activities and socialising.
It takes place, as shown on your Welcome Week Timetable, on Wednesday 29th September, 4-6pm and you need to sign-up using the form below by 2pm on Tuesday 28th September. You will receive an email from our First Year Director of Undergraduate Studies Dr Jen Baker (J.Baker.5@warwick.ac.uk) by close of day on Tues 28th with instructions as to the meeting place, and any requirements, so please check your email (including spam folder) for details.
The specific in-person activities will be weather dependent, but may involve a "literary walk" with a group of your peers and our departmental staff. Appropriate clothing (such as sturdy sensible shoes and a rain coat/umbrella if needed) is recommended and the walk would last approximately 45-60mins (slow placed, with stops, and wheelchair accommodating). If you have any requirements (such as disabilities) or information you wish to makes us aware of please outline in the box below. If you have personal circumstances which means this would not be possible, please indicate in the form below.
The activities may also involve a portion of activities indoors. Students are reminded that they will need to social-distance and asked to wear masks.
