Subject:Covid update January 2021
Dear all,
I hope you’re all as well and have had as good a break as is possible over the holidays. I’m sorry everything is again unsettled due to the latest changes to our national circumstances. I will write in more detail in the coming days, but wanted to write a holding message to confirm all teaching at the start of term will definitely be online. As soon as the department knows more we will communicate this to you immediately. Our priority remains, as always, your safety and wellbeing, and your personal tutors are ready to talk online whenever you need them. You can also get in touch with our Senior Tutor, Dr Liz Barry, and I’m always available if you would like to talk.
We won’t have any answers yet to the many questions, concerns, and challenges the new national restrictions present, but we’re working on it and as soon as guidance comes from the Government and the University we will let you know. I can say that the University do recognize the tremendous challenges this year has presented to you all and are currently discussing how to mitigate this. If you do need extensions for work due in the next few weeks, please do ask as we do understand you may need more time.
A reminder that Wellbeing support is still available online:https://warwick.ac.uk/services/wss/and I do encourage you to get in touch with them with pastoral queries. But the department is also here for you and please do email if you’re worried and I’ll do my best to answer your questions or raise them with the wider University.
Take care of yourselves.
Best wishes,
Emma
