PG-ECF skills session: Working with Archive Sources for Exhibition

- Export as iCalendar
Location: Modern Records Centre, University of Warwick

Hilary Marland and Rachel Bennett would like to invite you to join them in the Modern Records Centre (workroom) on Tuesday 12 March 2019 from 4.00-5.15pm where they will introduce the themes of the Throw Away the Key: 150 Years of Prison Health and Medicine exhibition and discuss the process behind its creation. The session will offer scholars in history, especially postgraduate and early career scholars, the opportunity to hear more about the advantages of collaborating with archivists and the benefits and challenges of selecting and contextualising a diverse range of source materials for display as part of an exhibition. It will also include a discussion about how working with archival materials in this way can lead to future innovative research and teaching collaborations.

The skills session will be followed by a drinks reception at 5.30pm in the exhibition space.

Please let Hilary know if you’d like to attend this session: hilary.marland@warwick.ac.uk
