Having recently completed his undergraduate degree in history at Warwick, Mark is funded by the University’s URSS scholarship scheme, which seeks to enhance student research skills in preparation for postgraduate study. Within the project his role has predominantly consisted of investigating the material culture of the hospital (researching the functions and development of medical instruments), although he has also played a part in constructing some of the general histories with regards to medical practice. His intention is to return to Warwick next year to begin studying for his MA.
