Bladder sound

A "sound" refers to a metal instrument used to locate stones in the bladder by the sound of the instrument hitting the stone. The sound is inserted into the bladder through the urethral canal, and can be felt grating against any stones within the bladder. Today, bladder stones are usually identified with ultrasound technology.
