Field Trip to the Black Country Living Museum
We will be visiting the Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) on Thursday, 19th March 2026 from 9am to 6pm.
Experience the Black Country of yesteryear as you explore over 250 years of history, from the Industrial Revolution to post-war prosperity, through living interpretation at Black Country Living Museum in Dudley in the West Midlands. Exploring over 80 reconstructed shops, houses and industrial workshops, and meeting historic characters who bring history to life with demonstrations in authentic settings.

A rough outline for the day:
9:00 am Departure from Bluebell Coach Park.
11am Arrival with introduction to the site & Health and Safety brief
Our visit will include a Curator's Tour of Infant Welfare Centre to cover BCLM 's unique mission as a local and regional Heritage site, interpreting history through built and material environments, historical accounts and testimony, and the arts.
We will also have plenty of time to explore the rest of the BCLM site, looking a the ways in which industrial, commercial, and domestic buildings work together to create a historical context for their striking collections and costumed interpreters.
There are facilities to buy lunch on-site , or to eat a packed lunch.
3:30pm - Departure from BCLM to return to Bluebell Coach Park.
