How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Demokratie and the Geschichtliche Grundbegriffe fifty years on - Workshop

Runs from Thursday, May 04 to Friday, May 05.

This workshop is part of the Re-imagining Democracy Project that has run since 2004 and is now focussing on Central and Northern Europe. It will bring together scholars of the history of the German speaking world to reflect on the contribution and limitations of the account of the history of the German word Demokratie provided in the Geschichtliche Grundbegriffe ( a dictionary of historical concepts) in which Reinhart Koselleck played a leading part. Developments in digital resources and associated scholarship raise a series of critical questions about this account- and this workshop will bring together historians, and other scholars to review the contribution that these new resources and approaches might make. There will be no formal papers, but just structured discussion. Participants from Warwick are very welcome, and there will be opportunities to contribute to the work of the meeting.
