All our Lifelong Language Learning courses are taught online via Microsoft Teams.
You can enrol online via our website. Please note that our online enrolment forms will only be accessible during the enrolment period.
If you know what level you are - for example, if you have passed the previous level or you are a complete beginner - please enrol online.
If you are a non-beginner, and this is your first time on the LLL programme, you should speak to a tutor in your chosen language to determine the most appropriate level for you. Please contact us at smlcoffice at warwick dot ac dot uk and we will put you in touch with a tutor.
Find out more about costs on our Language Learning Fees page.
If you are taking one of our Lifelong Language Learning (LLL) courses, you may be eligible for a certificate awarded by the Language Centre.
In order to be eligible for a certificate, you must comply with the following requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 10 classes over terms 1 and 2
- Complete all relevant assignments
- Achieve sufficient can-do statements to progress to the next level
Please note: Certificates will be issued during the latter part of the University's summer vacation. If you are eligible for a certificate, you will be contacted by the Language Centre over the summer, using the email address provided in the enrolment form, so please ensure that the contact information we have of you is up-to-date.
If you are an undergraduate student of the University (who meets the above criteria), you will not receive a specific certificate for completion of an LLL course; instead, the course will be added to your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Record) for that academic year.
When you complete our online enrolment form, you will also be taken to an online secure payment page. Payment can only be made online.
Your enrolment will not be complete without the payment being taken, and a space will not be reserved for you on the course.

Decisions on which classes will run in 2023/24 will be made on Friday 6 October, and only enrolments for viable classes will be taken past this time.
If your enrolment has been successful, and we will be running the course for 2023/24, you will be sent an email confirmation by no later than Saturday 7 October 2023.
In the case of course cancellation prior to the course starting (for example sudden tutor unavailability or where enrolment is below the minimum group size required), a full refund will be given.
Enrolment is for the entire course (two terms, starting in October), as we need to ensure that we have viable groups which can cohere over a period of time and that our administrative costs are kept to a minimum.
