Professor Carole Levin (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, IAS Visiting Fellow) will deliver a masterclass for postgraduate researchers (and masters students interested in applying for PGR courses) on how to combine history and literature in an interdisciplinary approach in their teaching and research. The event will be followed by a roundtable discussion for participants featuring Dr Elizabeth Goldring, Dr Michael Winkelman (Owens Tech) and Dr Grant, all of whom publish across disciplines. The focus of all four scholars is the early modern world, with Dr Winkelman particularly interested in work which works interdisciplinarily between literature and biology. Early career scholars of other periods (especially those working on the Middle Ages and the 18th Century) may also find this session of interest. Please note that this session is open to Warwick staff/students only, except external participants already attending the previous day's Representing Sovereignty symposium. There are 35 places available which will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
