Application requirements / process

The MA in the Culture of the European Renaissance will appeal to students who have taken their undergraduate degrees in any of the following: English, History, History of Art, Modern or Classical languages (especially French, Italian, Latin or Spanish), Music, and Theatre Studies, or a combination of two or more of these, although non-arts subjects are also considered. Applicants should normally have a first degree of at least 2:1 standard ('B' average in North America). If your first language is not English, you will be expected to obtain a score of at least 7.0 in an IELTS test; we also accept a number of other English language tests, for further information, please click here. No foreign language attainment is required for entry to the degree however, the Centre encourages its students to take advantage of Italian classes offered whilst in Venice and will cover the costs for one such module.

It should also be stressed that if you plan on spending any time in Venice, then help with finding accommodation can be facilitated/organised by our Venice administrator, Chiara Farnea Croff. It is important to make contact with Chiara to let her know your accommodation requirements, as early as possible after you have received an unconditional offer from Warwick.
