Fashion as Creative Economy: The CMPS Annual Lecture 8th June.
The Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies is pleased to invite you to its Annual Lecture Event, featuring Angela McRobbie, Dan Strutt and Carolina Bandinelli discussing their book, Fashion as Creative Economy (Polity, 2022).
Drawing on ethnographic research conducted in London, Berlin and Milan the book analyses the relations between urban policy regimes, micro-enterprises, the emerging political economy of fashion and the structures needed for designers to flourish.
Join us for a roundtable with the authors in conversation with David Wright (CMPS) and Jane Webb (School of Cross-Faculty Studies). Chaired by Rachel Moseley (Film and TV).
Thursday 8th June, 4.30pm in FAB0.08, followed by a drinks reception. Please e-mail SCAPVCenquiries@warwick.ac.uk if you plan to attend.
