REF Results 2021 - No1 in the UK for Research Power

The Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies (CMPS) is proud of its Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) results and is delighted to be No1 in the UK for Research Power (THELink opens in a new window) with a GPA of 3.52 from the largest amount of researchers submitted to UoA33 Music, drama, dance, performing arts, film and screen studies.

Doing Things Differently, Helen Martin Studio at Warwick Arts Centre, April 7th 11-15:30

How do we embrace difference and engender an inclusivity in the cultural and creative sectors?

Together with Dr. Vishalakshi Roy, Assistant Professor at School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures (SCAPVC), University of Warwick and Andrea Pulford Director of Planning and Operations at Warwick Arts Centre, Helga Henry and Lara Ratnaraja the Co-Producers of AD:Vantage wanted to further explore inclusion and how, by investing in people with different vantage points and perspectives we can drive fresh/ new thinking and innovation in the cultural and heritage sector.


How Culture Became Digital: A Workshop

On the mornings of 24th & 25th March, staff and students are invited to join us for a workshop on the theme of 'How Culture Became Digital'.

The papers in this workshop form the basis of a special issue of the International Journal of Cultural Policy due for publication in the Autumn of 2022. Colleagues are presenting their work-in-progress for feedback in advance of submission.

Featuring Carolina Bandinelli (University of Warwick) Ole Marius Hylland (Telemark Institute, Norway), Simone Wesner (Birkbeck, University of London), Bjarki Valtysson (University of Copenhagen), Xin Gu (Monash University), Alberto Cossu (University of Leicester), Michael Siciliano (Queen's University, Canada), Egle Rindzevicuite (Kingston University) and David Wright and Clive Gray (University of Warwick).
