Dr Belfiore invited to write preface for new book on museums and new technologies
Dr Belfiore has had the pleasure to write a preface for a book by Elisa Bonacini, Italian archaeologist and doctoral candidate at the University of Catania, Italy. The book entitled Il museo contemporaneo. Fra tradizione, marketing e nuove tecnologie (The contemporary museum: Between tradition, marketing and new technologies) is published by Roman based academic publisher Aracne.
Eleonora Belfiore discusses arts impact evaluation in Switzerland
Dr Eleonora Belfiore delivered a keynote paper entitled "Evaluating the social impact of the arts – dos & don'ts", at the "Kulturstadt Basel" conference on 27th January 2011. This was an event that brought together politicians, policy-makers, funding bodies, community representatives and other stakeholders to discuss the implications of the "Kulturleitbild" - cultural mission - launched by the city of Basel in August 2010.
International Student MA Scholarships 2011
The Centre for Cultural Policy Studies is delighted to offer a limited number of scholarships to international students. The bursaries, worth £5,000 each, will be towards the cost of the fees for full-time Masters study in the Centre. Applicants to all three of the Centre's MA programmes who are able to demonstrate an excellent academic record and commitment to their chosen field of study will be automatically considered. Successful offer holders will be notified of their scholarship award by 31st May 2011.
