Biography: Peter McKintosh is an Olivier Award winning scenic and costume designer. He trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, after obtaining a degree in Theatre at the University of Warwick. He has designed a diverse range of plays, musicals and operas all over the world. His designs for ‘The 39 Steps’, which ran for nine years in the West End, were nominated for Best Set and Best Costume Tony Awards on Broadway. He is also a patron of the Noël Coward Archive Trust
Peter is proud to be part of the team who founded Freelancers Make Theatre Work, which aims to encourage more transparent and inclusive conversations within the theatre industry

Biography: After graduating from Warwick, I completed an MA in Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Arts in order to refine my practical skills needed for working in Theatre Design. After Wimbledon, I then began my freelance career as a set, costume and puppet designer. In my three years, I have worked on over thirty productions at a range of venues. My previous productions include Once on This Island (Arts Ed), Theatrical Niche's A Doll's House (UK Tour), Love and Information (Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts), Aladdin (Sutton Coldfield Townhall), GORGON: A Horror Story (VAULTS Festival), Faustus (Queen Elizabeth Hall), Neck or Nothing (Pleasance), A Christmas Carol (The Barn Theatre), The Little Prince (Omnibus Theatre). I am also the current Season Designer for Iris Theatre at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. I love to take on a variety of productions, but am most drawn to storytelling, fantasy and working with multi-rolling ensembles. Biography: After leaving Warwick, I began studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for an MA in Theatre Lighting Design, where I am currently finishing the degree. Alongside this, I continue to work as a Lighting Designer, as well as working as a Casual Lighting Technician at the Royal Opera House in London. My work has so far included lighting designs for Pound of Flesh and Gigglemug Theatre.
