Drama Matters
Drama Matters Networking Weekend - Friday 24th – Sunday 26th July 2026
Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick is delighted to be hosting this year’s Drama Matters Networking Weekend, in partnership with Drama Matters — a national network dedicated to supporting and celebrating Drama teachers and practitioners.
Now in its eleventh year, the Drama Matters Networking Weekend brings together Drama educators from across the UK and beyond for an inspiring programme of CPD workshops, panel discussions and creative exchanges led by practitioners from across the sector. Alongside these sessions, the weekend offers plenty of opportunities to connect, collaborate and celebrate — including the ever-popular Saturday night ball and a few other surprises along the way.
As one of the UK’s leading Theatre and Performance departments, we are proud to help facilitate these conversations and contribute to a community that champions creativity, collaboration and the future of Drama education.
This year’s event will take place on the University of Warwick campus, with workshops and talks held in the new Faculty of Arts Building. Participants will stay in Bluebell, one of the university’s modern halls of residence. Please note, the rooms in Bluebell are all single rooms, although some can be made into twin rooms if you'd like to share. You can also, if you'd prefer, book a double room in Scarman or Radcliffe, which are our on-campus hotels.
All meals are included in the registration fee — breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments throughout the day — and attendees will have complimentary access to the Warwick Sports and Wellness Hub, which includes a swimming pool and gym.
The event is open to Drama teachers, educators and practitioners at all stages of their careers. The University of Warwick is easily accessible via Coventry station, with regular local transport links to campus. There is also ample parking on campus for those travelling by car.
If you have any access requirements, please let us know when registering and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
